Fran Banish is somewhat of a local legend. As in house blues guru at McCabe's acoustic dungeon, Banish has crossed paths and performed with many icons of the genre. Even the local session cats give props to Banish, and often employ him as their guitarslinging mentor. It is not surprising then that his regular Los Angeles performances are littered with fans and fellow musicians. Banish's hard edged blues-pop is a treat to the ears and always features top-notch players manning the instruments. You can check out Banish and his band when they visit Molly Malone's (575 S. Fairfax; 323-935-1577) on August 8th.
